OceanBorn was inspired by my many travels and shell collecting extravagendas along the East Coast beaches. After tens of years and bins upon bins of seashells I finally found a use for them! My love for bespoke jewelry, natural gemstones, and the ocean found each other and OceanBorn was, well “born”.
Although, I love the giant shells, whelks, and conchas my favorite part of shelling is finding the amazing beauty within the world of tiny shells. Small intricately shaped, patterned, and colored shells have been my passion for years. I have spent countless hours sifting through piles of broken shells and mounds of sand to find these beauties. Among them you will see coquina clams, jingles, kittens paw, scallops, auger shells, perwinkles, and snails just to name a few.
I hope that my jewelry justly highlights the treasure trove of tiny shells bestowed by our amazing oceans.
The Myrtle Beach Collection
Myrtle Beach holds a special place in my heart. This collection was the beginning and inspiration of OceanBorn.
I have been vacationing there with my family for many years and impressively have had a different experience every time. Some years produce an amazing amount of shells of all kinds, other years require an extensive dig and sift effort to collect just a handful. What I love most though about the Myrtle shores are the sharks teeth! It takes a special eye to catch those little critters!

The Outer banks is home to some of the best shell finding locations on the East Coast. Ocracoke Island has some of the most undisturbed beaches in all of The Outer Banks and boasts some of its most highly desired shells such as the Scotch Bonnet - North Carolina’s State shell. Cape Hatteras overflows with a myraid of perfectly formed scallops in an array of beautiful colors or giant cockles.
