Can I wear my Ocean Born jewelry in the water?
To extend the life of your beautiful Ocean Born jewelry we recommend NOT wearing your pieces in the shower, pool, or ocean as moisture, salt, and bathing products can lead to tarnishing. Also, be mindful of playing sports or participating in rough activity while wearing Ocean Born as some of our pieces are very delicate.
How should my Ocean Born jewelry be stored?
For long life store your Ocean Born jewelry in the pouch provided with your order. This will keep if free from moisture and environmental conditions that may contribute to tarnishing and breakage. Simply wipe it free of dirt and excess oils and place in the pouch till you are ready to wear it again. Should it need some shine use the jewelry cloth provided within the pouch to give it a little polish.
What happens if my Ocean Born jewelry tarnishes?
Most of Ocean Born Jewelry is silver or gold plated to prevent tarnishing, however there are many factors that can dull a piece of jewelry such as; moisture, body oils, sweat, lotions, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, cleaning products, etc. When tarnishing occurs gently clean your piece of jewelry with a little soapy water, you may use a soft cloth or toothbrush. Once dry you can polish with the cloth provided in your jewelry pouch. Allow to dry completely before storing. What happens if my Ocean Born jewelry breaks?
If you experience a jewelry breakage within the first 30 days Ocean Born will repair, replace missing components and mail the item back to you free of charge. Customer is responsible for cost of mailing to Ocean Born. Most jewelry can be mailed via USPS for very little cost. However, please do not ship in a letter envelope, damage will occur. Use a small box, small box in an envelope or padded envelope.
If you have breakage after 30 days from the date of purchase please mail the item back to Ocean Born and include prepaid postage padded envelope, or envelope if mailing in a small box, to have your piece mailed back to you.
*If you have lost substantial components of your piece, such as more than a few stones, shells, cracked resin etc. Please contact us first so that we may access what additional charge may be required for your repair.
